Mia Calderon
Mia Calderon's family origins---part Guatemalan, part Spanish, part Mexican-American---contribute as much to her music as does her fascination with everything Brazilian. Armed with guitars and synthesizers, the richness, exotic flavors, and sensual but sophisticated feel of her songwriting encompass many influences. Nuances of Massive Attack, Bajafondo, Portishead, and Bebel Gilberto are weaved throughout Calderón’s music. Calderón sees outside the sometimes-insular world of making music. Mia Calderón's new album MANIK is NOW AVAILABLE at www.MiaCalderón.com. The album represents where she is today. But take notice because she won't be standing still for long.
Micropixie
Made in Bombay, but born and raised in the UK, micropixie defies easy classification on her debut album. Inspired, imaginative, and deeply personal, Alice in Stevie Wonderland gives listeners an inside perspective on mpx's curious and epic journey as an alien trying on the human experience.
Weaving sensuous instrumentation (both electronic and organic) with elaborate vocal textures (courtesy of her Innit Choir ), the album's peculiar narrative covers a wide range of emotions as mpx confronts terrestrial themes of identity, conformity, trust and truth.
Penned and co-produced with San Francisco-based muse neo eon one, ASWL aims to be the first entry within a new genre of music: "Planetary"...

Palenke Soultribe
Critically-acclaimed LA-based Colombian , Palenke Soultribe, have taken electronic music to new heights by deconstructing Afro-Colombian rhythms and blending them with underground beats and exploratory synthesizer sounds. Palenke Soultribe (PST) represents the new generation of Colombian musicians ready to break all the rules.
Palenke Soultribe was created in Los Angeles in 2005 by Colombian producers Juan D. Borda ( AKA Insectosound) and Andres Erazo ( AKA Popa) and later joined by drummer/percussionist A.Zuluaga. Jesse Saunders
One of the pioneers of House music, often cited as "the originator of House music". His 1984 single, "On & On", co-written with Vince Lawrence, was first record with a house DJ as the artist that was pressed and sold to the public.[1][2] On July 17, 1997 Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley announced the day would be forever known as Jesse Saunders and the Pioneers of House Music Day
in Chicago. Since his emergence as a DJ almost three decades ago,
Saunders has run several of his own independent labels, and worked
extensively in music and film production, as well as artist promotion
and management. In recent years, through House music reunions, a pending
book release and a live 'disc-jocumentary' - where, while DJing, he
visually takes the audience through the history of House and Electro -
Saunders has worked towards erasing the misconceptions associated with
the genre's origins. He is also a long-time member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences.
Divasonic
Lynda Arnold is a jack of all trades in the music business, simultaneously operating as a multi-instrumentalist, producer, engineer, performer and educator. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Lynda performs and produces as 'Divasonic' molding her own sound of downtempo, house and d-n-b mixed with ethereal vocals and jazz flute inprovisations. Her label credits include EMI, Clubstar (Germany), Cyberset (SF), Epiphyte (SF) and her own label, Digital Bliss. Experimentation is key to the development of the Divasonic sound as well as collaboration and performance with other talented musicians in an attempt to redefine the concept of song.
Coolout
Critically-acclaimed hip-hop artist, producer, beat-master, and multi-instrumentalist, Coolout wasn't kidding when he called it The Long Goodby. It took almost six months after the album dropped for him to pack his bags and go. Recently relocated to Philly, Coolout spent 10 years in Music City tending turntables and making beats with a keen ear for old-school idioms and new-school flavor alike. Goodbye is a mature, sophisticated sonic exploration of a man's relationship with his surroundings—for better or worse. Combining boom-bap party hooks with jazzy space soundscapes on songs like "Leaving" and "Love Affair," Goodbye is a high-water mark.
Los Hollywood
The southern California band, who boasts a sound somewhere between No Doubt, Paramore and The Pretenders, has been creating a buzz within the Latin music community this year after winning the Myspace Sponsor Your Band competition in Los Angeles. San Diego rockers Heidy, Tavo and Marcos can write true Rock songs with Pop appeal in both English and Spanish. Their first single “No Te Agüites” is no exception. Produced by Cuevo Perez, this up tempo bilingual love song with its heavy chords, strong drums and Heidy’s angelic vocals truly display the bands talent as both rockers and songwriters.
